Paige returns to the WWE Performance Center

Paige returns to the WWE Performance Center

Paige is on a journey to reclaim her “house.”

The former Divas Champion — unseen in a WWE ring for more than a year — revealed she has returned to the WWE Performance Center, presumably beginning her return to active competition in WWE.

“Went to see an old friend today,” she wrote. “Good to be back there! @wwe #RoadBackToMyHouse”

Paige is a two-time Divas Champion and became the youngest Superstar to hold the title when she captured it during her Raw debut at the age of 21. If her return his imminent, as this post is leading many in the WWE Universe to believe, consider the women of Raw and SmackDown LIVE officially put on notice.

Paige injured in attack on Raw

WWE have posted the following statement after tonight’s edition of Raw in London.

UPDATE 4/14/2015: Following a medical consultation, Paige’s doctors have advised her not to compete until further notice.

Naomi’s attack on Paige following the Divas Battle Royal has left the No. 1 contender to the Divas Title injured.

Though the specifics have yet to be confirmed, early reports suggest that Paige suffered internal injuries as a result of the attack, which saw The Diva of Tomorrow beaten outside the ring and thrown into the barricade repeatedly.

WWE Superstars: Europe’s most excited tourists

WWE Superstars: Europe’s most excited tourists

This week, WWE kicks off its 10-day Live European Tour, and its Superstars and Divas couldn’t be more excited.

For Paige, going back home to England means seeing friends, family and of course, the WWE Universe all over Europe, which has a special place in the former Divas Champion’s heart. “They’re all amazing to me,” said an ecstatic Diva of Tomorrow, who particularly enjoys how our fans “go Loony Tunes in every arena.”

Editors’ Choice: Who had the best 2014?

Editors’ Choice: Who had the best 2014?

Who had the best 2014? It’s a simple question, really, but how do you quantify what makes a Superstar or Diva’s year the best? Certainly, title wins and five-star matches are a good start. Memorable moments and game-changing victories should also be taken into consideration. Still, at the end of the day, this is a rather subjective debate, but one that is definitely worth having. WWE.com’s editors take their picks and make their arguments for which member of the WWE roster had the greatest year.

Paige

At the age of 21, many adults are still wrapping up their college courses and determining what they want to do with the rest of their lives. Paige, on the other hand? She already had become the youngest to win the Divas Championship, and even captured her second title on her 22nd birthday – proving that “The Diva of Tomorrow” was a moniker firmly rooted in reality.

Paige wasn’t done there, however, as the raven-haired phenom from Norwich, England, closed out 2014 by making her video game debut in “WWE 2K15,” securing a spot on the new episodes of E!’s hit reality show, “Total Divas,” and ranking No. 1 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s “Female 50”, which recognizes the best female grapplers in the entire world (not just WWE).

For some Divas, these accomplishments are enough to fill an entire career. For the 22-year-old Paige, it’s just a small glimpse of what tomorrow will bring. We foresee a lot more boot-stomps and tap-outs in her opponents’ future. — TOM HERRERA

Superstars who would have been perfect for The Attitude Era

Superstars who would have been perfect for The Attitude Era

Ahh, The Attitude Era. Sword-wielding Japanese stables, men in towels, Sexual Chocolate, exploding buses and Rock Bottoms into plates of dog poop. Those were the times. What made WWE’s most infamous era truly must-see television, however, wasn’t the wild, week-to-week stunts that pushed the limits of durability and decency alike, but the unmatched cadre of characters that perpetuated these preposterous acts.

The envelope-pushing has long since subsided to something more palatable (you won’t see anybody giving birth to a hand these days), but the wild personalities have never really gone away, have they? There are plenty of competitors in today’s WWE who are as colorful and provocative as the stars of The Attitude Era, and who would not only have succeeded in that boom period, but thrived alongside the likes of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, D-Generation X and Ministry-era Undertaker. Who are these stars out of time?

Paige

While almost all of our current Divas would have held their own in The Attitude Era, Paige is the one who would have really stood out against the likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, Victoria, Ivory, Jacqueline, Molly Holly and all the women who were part of the greatest crop of women’s wrestlers ever.

Paige’s mother, father and both older brothers are all wrestlers in Norwich, England. As a matter of fact, Paige’s mother unknowingly competed while seven months pregnant with Paige! Perhaps that explains why the anti-Diva who started her career at 13 years old is so comfortable in the ring. All of this has made the former Divas Champion so incredibly adaptable that she could appear on “Total Divas” just as easily as she could have battled Lita in the main event of a Raw in 1999.

Not only would Paige have been champion during The Attitude Era, she would have been champion in the days of The Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young. WWE needs more Paiges. — Joey Styles
