WWE Royal Rumble 2015 Preview

Paige & Natalya vs. The Bella Twins

Paige says she doesn’t need any friends in the cutthroat world of Divas competition, but if she hopes to emerge victorious at Royal Rumble, she will have to put her trust in Natalya when the two dynamic Divas team to take on a common enemy: The Bella Twins.

Though their relationship has had its share of ups and downs recently (thanks in no small part to the meddlesome ways of Natalya’s husband, Tyson Kidd, who caused Paige a pivotal loss last week), The Diva of Tomorrow and The Queen of Harts seem to be united in one thing: their disdain for Divas Champion Nikki and twin sister Brie.

Since the start of 2015, Paige and Natalya have each managed to upend Nikki in non-title singles matches. In each case, their wins were partly enabled by the presence of the other at ringside. Paige neutralized Brie at ringside on the Jan. 5 edition of Raw, paving the way for Natalya to pin Nikki. The following night on Main Event, The Diva of Tomorrow scored a victory of her own over Nikki when Natalya stopped an interfering Brie.

Things hit a snag the following week when Kidd accompanied Natalya to ringside for a bout between Paige and Brie and stepped onto the ring apron, distracting Paige and causing her to lose. Afterward, the enraged raven-haired Diva insisted she didn’t need friends and called Kidd an “idiot,” but nonetheless aided Natalya in beating Nikki on SmackDown days later.

Will Paige and Natalya manage to get along when they stand across the ring from the fearless Divas Champion and her equally strategic twin sister at Royal Rumble? Will Kidd, who has seemingly taken an interest in Nikki Bella, wearing her hat and necklace, poke his nose into his wife’s business, and if so, what will that mean for The Diva of Tomorrow? And now that they’ve been identified as a common target, how will Nikki & Brie Bella react inside the ring?

Find out when four of the Divas division’s top athletes square off at Royal Rumble this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, live on WWE Network.

WWE Survivor Series 2014 Preview

WWE Survivor Series 2014 Preview

Alicia Fox, Natalya, Naomi & Emma vs. Paige, Cameron, Summer Rae & Layla (Divas Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match)

AJ Lee and Nikki Bella are set to tangle over the butterfly-emblazoned Divas Championship this Sunday, but that won’t stop eight of the Divas division’s top competitors from squaring off in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match live on WWE Network.

The team of Alicia Fox, Natalya, Naomi & Emma will face Paige, Cameron, Summer Rae & Layla, WWE.com has learned. To achieve victory in the bout, one team must eliminate all four Divas on the opposing squad.

This Sunday’s newly announced Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match carries on a proud legacy that began at the very first Survivor Series in 1987, when Fabulous Moolah and Sherri Martel captained teams of women’s wrestlers. Since then, Divas as diverse as Aja Kong and JoJo have competed in the time-honored match format.

What will happen when these eight Divas, a combination of veteran grapplers and WWE rookies, mix it up Sunday? Will either team look to the former Divas Champions on their sides — Alicia and Natalya on one team, Paige and Layla on the other — for leadership? What is for sure is there will be no shortage of hostility between the teams, as former allies, whether Naomi and Cameron or Alicia and Paige, will be on opposite sides.

Watch this and all the action of the 28th annual Survivor Series when WWE’s fall classic airs live on WWE Network and pay-per-view this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Divas Champion AJ Lee vs. Paige

AJ Lee and Paige’s fierce tug-of-war over the Divas Championship continues, as the upstart Divas will clash again at Hell in a Cell.

After Paige lost the championship to her “frenemy” in a Triple Threat Match also involving Nikki Bella at Night of Champions, she looks to win the title for a third time, the number of reigns that AJ currently possesses.

The rivalry began on Raw the night after Wrestlemania 30, when Paige scored a shocking, and quick, upset victory over AJ, ending The Black Widow’s record-setting 295-day reign as Divas Champion. Tension rose on the June 30 edition of Raw, when AJ made short work of Paige to regain the championship. The Diva of Tomorrow defeated AJ for the title again at SummerSlam, only for AJ to regain the title at Night of Champions.

In recent weeks, AJ has combatted the new alliance of Paige and Alicia Fox in tag team competition, but the controversial Diva has yet to form a lasting partnership. First, she walked out on Emma on the Oct. 6 edition of Raw, and then Layla abandoned AJ during a tag match on the Oct. 13 Raw. After winning the match nonetheless, AJ put Layla in her place for her betrayal.

With the support of perhaps a new BFF, can Paige topple the Divas Champion once again? Or will AJ make a successful title defense and prove she can do just fine on her own? This Divas Championship war comes to a head at Hell in a Cell, live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT!

Raw Five-Point Preview – October 20, 2014

Raw Five-Point Preview – October 20, 2014

‘Friendly’ fire

As Divas Champion AJ Lee explained on SmackDown, she “doesn’t play well with others” and doesn’t exactly have any allies in the Divas locker room — the only friend she needs is her title. However, if Paige has anything to say about it, The Black Widow will be suffering from some separation anxiety sooner than later.

On Friday night, after AJ defeated Layla, the Divas Champion fell victim to the numbers game as Paige and Alicia Fox orchestrated a two-on-one attack that ended with AJ laid out in the middle of the ring and The Diva of Tomorrow holding the butterfly-emblazoned title high above her head. Was this a sign of things to come?

Raw Five-Point Preview – September 22, 2014

Like a Black Widow, baby

In a bout plagued by family drama and mind games, AJ Lee defeated titleholder Paige and Nikki Bella to become Divas Champion for an impressive third time, tying Eve for the most reigns with the butterfly-emblazoned prize.

AJ might have reclaimed her “baby,” but The Diva of Tomorrow won’t let this defeat go lightly. As for Nikki Bella, there’s pretty much nothing she won’t do these days to get what she wants. Will AJ be preyed upon tonight on Raw?

AJ Lee & Brie Bella to face Paige & Nikki Bella on Raw

As the race for the Divas Championship and the ongoing bad blood between The Bella Twins continue to intersect, the two worlds will collide on Monday in a Divas Tag Team Match, WWE.com has learned.
